Flaxseeds and oilFLAXSEEDS offer a ton of perks for your health – brain, heart, skin, immunity, energy, keeping hormones in check and much more. Sprinkle ground flaxseeds on oatmeal, blend them into smoothies or substitute them for eggs when baking. Flaxseed crackers are a great way to get more of these gems into your diet. Ground flaxseed can be added to many grain recipes, like muffins, biscuits, rolls and bagels. Working these tiny seeds into your diet is a tasty, simple way to support overall wellness. Flaxseeds pack a lot of nutrition into a small package that can help your body thrive. Make sure to have a nut grinder and grind your own fresh flaxseed meal. I usually get organic, golden flaxseeds and buy five pounds at once in bulk at my health food store in Santa Monica.

flaxseedsFLAXSEEDS certainly pack a nutritional punch for their tiny size. From helping balance hormones to lowering blood pressure to helping you lose weight, incorporating these little seeds into your diet can enhance well-being in numerous ways.

Sweet PotatoesHere is a sweet and creamy sweet potato smoothie that tastes just like pie but is made without any added sugar and is packed with protein, Omega-3s (from the flaxseeds), maca powder and is ready in just five minutes. The entire family will love this salubrious smoothie. All you need to do is to put all your ingredients into a blender and let it work its magic. And for a special treat, find purple sweet potatoes at your grocery store or Farmers' Market like in this photo here.

Serves: 1-2

Sweet PotatoesTIPS: Using frozen sweet potatoes and frozen riced cauliflower will help you get a thick consistency. Enjoy it as a smoothie by making it thinner with more almond milk. Or you can make it thicker, pour it into a bowl and add your choice of topping. Some fun topping ideas include nuts, seeds, sliced fresh fruit, granola, cacao nibs and a drizzle of extra almond butter.

Ingredients:

⭐️  1 cup frozen sweet potato
⭐️  1/4 cup frozen riced cauliflower
⭐️  1 Tbsp. ground flaxseed (I use the golden flaxseed to make the meal)
Sweet Potatoes⭐️  2 tsp. maca powder
⭐️  1 Tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
⭐️  1 Tbsp. almond butter (sometimes I use cashew or pecan butter)
⭐️  1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice such as cashew milk)
⭐️  1 scoop vanilla protein powder (use plant-based for vegans)
⭐️  Ice to taste
⭐️  Dash of cinnamon (I like to sprinkle a dash of this on top of the sweet potato smoothie or bowl)

Blend and enjoy as a smoothie or Sweet Potato Breakfast Bowl!

To make it even more nutrient-dense:

RenewMeI often add in a teaspoon of RenewMe! Total Body Blend and/or 1/2 teaspoon of Blue Majik.

When purchasing these products, use the SUSAN coupon code for 10% off as well as the WELCOME10 coupon code for another 10% off = 20% off total for all first time orders. These are two nutritional supplements that I've takeBlue Majikn daily for over 15 years and wouldn't be without them.

FYI: Look for cooked frozen sweet potato chunks in the freezer section near the vegetables in your grocery store, or freeze leftover sweet potatoes without the skin. And yes, sweet potato puree can be used in place of the frozen sweet potatoes. If using sweet potato puree, be sure to add additional ice.

You can also substitute pumpkin puree or frozen chunks for the sweet potato puree (or do half of each) and it's equally delicious and nutritious.
