'Tis the Season of Miracles
Welcome to the wonderful months of November and December, the last two months of this year. With all of the holiday- and calorie-rich foods you'll probably be consuming, here are some delicious recipes with a secret ingredient to help you lighten the load and keep off extra weight.
The month of November is named after the Latin word, "novem," which means nine. Given that it is our 11th month, that's a bit confusing, but that's because March started the ancient Roman year, so for our ancestors, it was the ninth month. December got its name from the word "decem" or "ten" because it was originally the tenth month of the year in the early Roman calendar.
Each year seems to be passing by more quickly and with each year, I want to live more fully, shine more brightly, and celebrate each day with more gusto. How about you? This is such a special time of the year; a time to reflect on what we’ve learned over the past year, and all of the experiences that made us who we are today. And it’s also a time to ponder what we want to create in 2015 – with a view toward always growing, learning, dreaming BIG, and manifesting our highest visions.

Whatever your heart’s desires are — and for many during these more difficult economic times, your wish may be for more prosperity (see the article below on attracting more wealth and prosperity) — you can bring them to fruition. You are the architect and leader of your life. But achieving your goals and living from a deep sense of purpose and authenticity begins in your consciousness and grows up from your level of self-esteem.
Choose to Live Fully
So many of us want to improve our lives: simply living means trying to find one’s path, questing after a higher way, and seeking deeper answers to problems we encounter or larger philosophical questions we wish to better understand. In each newsletter, I draw from the great minds of history as well as a range of literary, religious, and contemporary sources. I present nuggets of wisdom to savor, my favorite and most effective tips to be vibrantly healthy, a variety of natural remedies and recommendations from my private practice, and the latest scientific studies that reveal what you’ll want to know to be healthy, happy, empowered, peaceful, and filled with joy — day in and day out.
